Volunteers
Ballet NJ depends upon it’s members and volunteers to aid in the production and staging of our full length ballets.
Although the sets and costumes are professionally-made, our corps of volunteers put on the finishing touches to get the production on stage. Parents and volunteers also load in the show and are stagehands and group parents during the shows. If you have a talent in any of these areas, we would appreciate your help. We are always looking for assistance from corporations in deferring cost of printing, postage, advertising, truck rental moving sets four times a year) and monetary donations to help in the replacement of existing sets and the purchase or construction of new sets for our spring shows which change every two years.
Corporate Donation
If your corporations can provide “in-kind” donations for some of the items above, it would be greatly appreciated.
Our productions are professionally staged with sets, sound and lighting equipment. Since we own many of our sets and make all our own costumes, we rely on donations to add or replace many of our sets.
Some of the items we are looking to secure in the coming years are as follows:
- Proscenium curtain – $2,500
- Christmas Tree (Nutcracker) – $5,000
- New Set Borders – $2,000
- Costumes (annual) – $1,500
- Black Scrim – $1,000
- White Scrim – $1,000
- Stage headsets (radios) – $4,000
- Video equipment – $1,000
- Videotaping of shows (professional) $2,000

Any donations to help offset cost for theater rentals, postage, printing or general supplies including the placement of an advertisement in our add book is greatly appreciated.
